New to shotguns and currently enamoured of those caddies that they use in competition and also on the Magpul videos. What is the consensus on these? Good? How about the double-stack ones?

What vendor has these? (Or should I be able to get these in local stores easily)>

I have a 4X4 caddie. I picked up one to try it. It works great if you have a thick and wide belt so it can’t move around to much.

Only problem I found is lying prone with it on your belt. A single stack caddie would work a lot better if you will have to lay prone, like you might have to in 3 gun.

SFRC has the single stack ones in stock.

Thanks. Why would anyone get the 3-shot ones vs the 4 shot ones? The price differential doesn't seem that great.

What brand are yours?

I have an AP customs 4x4.

The quality of the product is top notch. Its a nice thing to look at for sure.

Only problem is that you have to take all 4 out. You can't take one out and leave 3. They will fall out if you have to run.

Only reason you would buy a 3 shell holder is smaller hands. Or if you fumble with the first one when loading 4. 3 is a ton easier then 4. Remember that if you drop one just forget about it. Keep going!

Are you looking to load with your weak hand?

I have no preference as far as loading weak or strong hand. I've only fired a shotgun twice. Just soaking up all the tips until I get to know my beast.

I use the FSL-8 system. Once you get it smooth, I think it can go faster than the weak hand load 4 method. (If you can get the load-4 method with the FSL-8's down pat).

If you're going to shoot IPSC, the ammo has to all come from your belt. The chest rig system won't be allowed.

S&J hardware is the importer for AP customs shell caddies.
The 4x4 3x3 and classic 4

We just. Got in a large shipment but we are down to a few 4x4 a bunch of 3x3 and 2 classic 4.
But check with our dealers they should have some left.

I bought 4 of the AP 4x4's from S&J and they are pretty great, but I am sooooo interested in learning the European style of loading the shotgun as illustrated above.

Simon, any chance of getting these? I'd love to get some 8 and 12 rounders of the Carbon Arms Twins system...

We have a large shipment inbound as well....we're the other importer. $69.95 for the 4x4 and 3x3. 4 shot ones are $42.95
