I bought a norc and sold it 4 months later for a Springfield. There is no comparison between them as far as fit,function and finish. Everything on the M1A is machined to the "T" with no tool marks or rough edges. The parkerizing was much better as well. Everything about it spelled quality. Even headspace is measured during final inspection.

ive owned 11 Norinco M14's ( project guns, build them up, sell them on.. kept 1 for myself ) ...
I cant recall ever having a jam, or malfunction that was the rifles fault, in any... ANY... of them, and with a ridiculous mix of ammunition as well..
triggers and safety both work, bolt stop works, butt hinge plate works.. all functioning parts of the rifle work... and for 1/6th the price too
