Hey guys....

I just felt the need to reiterate my experience with my Dlask 12.5" .920 bbl in my Marauder.....

this evening i had fixed the firing pin in my Savage 93R17 BSEV, and headed out to the range to test it out. In doing so, i brought along my 10/22 stainless with .920 SS hammerforged stock bbl. i also took along the Marauder with 12.5" Dlask....

Anyways, i had set up a target at 100 yards and wanted to do some longer range gopher blasting practice.... so i start out with the SS ruger, and pop off 10 shots, bagged off the hhod of my truck. yikes, quite a crappy group, approx 5". Next i grab the marauder and pop off a 25 shot group. And even with the (quite poor) optic, i manage to beat the SS ruger's group by at least 50%! Jeez the 12.5" Dlask is a super fine barrel!

anyone thinking of getting one, just do it, you won't regret it!

GiNNz!

What slowbalt said. I want pics. I'm picturing a sweet 12.5 bbl on my marauder kit with a brake on it and want to see others pics. Also range experienc too. Damn the regular barrel I have shoots 1moa @ 50 feet and I think that's good but I want a closer to g36c model I think that'd be sweet.

"Ginnz" what kind of ammo are you using? I bought a 12.5" Dlask barrel in the spring with the "Bentz" chamber and have been having a lot of FTE issues with it using Federal Champion ammo.

Me too. I bought a DAR-22 with the 12.5 Xtreme barrel (bentz chamber) earlier this year. I have a lot of FTE issues as well as a lot of stovepipes. I have tried Federal 525 ammo, winchester bulk ammo, Remington subsonic, and various others. I have read that it takes a lot of break in to get these to cycle correctly, but I am loosing patience. I have disassembled and cleaned multiple times. I have also tried Ruger 10 rnd mags, BC steel lips and TI mags, nothing seems to help. My average failure rate is about 20%. Compare that to my 15-22 that just ran thru 534 rounds with zero failures during my last range trip.

Ya, this sounds much like mine. I've only put about 150 rounds through it and had 15 - 20 FTE, with 2 casings failing to clear the chamber. I was hoping it was just the Federal Champion ammo I was using, but the more I read the less I think the ammo is the problem. I've tried the both stock Ruger magazines I have and a Butler Creek steel lips magazine and it happens with both. I also installed a Power Customs extractor prior to mounting the barrel, but that doesn't seem to help either. I'm very frustrated. I've got a friend who has had his Dlask barrel a year longer than I have and he's had the same problems.
I emailed Dlask today regarding the issue to see if they have any explanation. I bought 3 other brands of ammo today and plan on seeing how they work at the range tomorrow, I'll let you know.

I have a 16", 12.5" and 8" extreme barrels and have never had any issues with any of the three. The 8" has only seen a couple hundred rounds but the other two have a few thousand each thru them. I use and have only used AE 40gr solid ammo.

I have a Dlask 10.5 inch barrel I had some issuses with certain types of ammo I just had to find the right one turns out to be federal 525 bulk and it works great. If you have stove pipes ect you might want to change the recoil spring it might help allot.

My other semi auto .22lr hates federal bulk ammo which kind of sucks because I liked it so much... on the other side it likes the match ammo and shoots it really well but my 10/22 hates it.

Did you install the barrel your self or did someone else do it? Could me an install issue or something else..

I also had issuses with the stock that I put my 10/22 in because it screws together had a few issuse because of that but setting the screws to tight but not to tight it worked fine
