WRAS 3-Gun, 2012 Shooting Schedule @ Spruce Grove

What AR mags are you using that you get 11rds in them?

camera didn't work on my shotgun but it worked on the AR... and I LOVE my cheap Chinese 5.56

Have an awesome shoot folks. Wish I could be there but am in Ottawa shooting CFSAC. Start service rifle tomorrow, coming off of a win in team pistol falling plates. See everybody in oct.

Of course!

Heck, come out with .223, 9mm,12ga target load, and a open attitude and you'll be able to shoot. :)

It might be too hot for trooper...

I think I will come out, see in person what its like. If so I think it will be a winter project to get outfitted for next year.
I have the shotgun, and at the moment an sks for rifle (been more into hunting rifles and shotguns), this winter need to get a pistol and maybe an AR, just moved to Edmonton West side so thinking about joining a club, maybe spruce grove.

Looking forward to seeing a match!!

well im gonna have to sit this one out due to a knee injury, hope everyone has a blast, gonna be nice weather

Can somebody give me a run-down or a link to the rules/requirements for Trooper class?

I'd like to run in that class next month.

As I recall, the rules are that you have to wear armour (soft or hard) and you have to carry all you need for the entire day with you (not in a cart, e.g. on your back.)

You don't carry it with you when you shoot the actual stage, though you do wear the armour when shooting.

I had to miss the shoot today, otherwise I'd probably have tried for Trooper.

If I'm missing anything, someone please jump in or correct me. I am going from memory of the orientation this season.

What an excellent Saturday!!! Most fun I've had with my pants on in a LONG time, :D Huge thanks to Sam, Tod and all the RO's/score keepers. Was a great way to spend my last weekend before heading back to Albania, lol... Gonna miss the next one by two days, :( I get back on the 15th, crap!

(Seriously thinking about getting an AR now...)

great match with some long stages = lots of rounds. Thanks to Sam and others, especially Steamboat who spent so much time doing stats, he never got to shoot. A dedicated team player!

Cheers

Thanks to WRAS for welcoming me and allowing me to shoot last weekend. I enjoyed Saturday immensely. I didn't know what I was getting into, to be honest, but it exceeded my expectations for a day at the range. Thank you all.
