HK USP 40 is a large gun, 45 is even bigger. Big hunk of a gun. Great recoil reduction system... I am sure it's a pleasure to shoot.

It is, I've owned a few Hk's in .45 (USP, HK45, USP Tactical, Expert and a Mk23) They are all awsome polymer framed .45's

I just feel like the best bang for the buck right now is the G21 Gen 4, since Glock fixed the issues with the Gen 4 (the G21 being the best Gen 4 there is IMHO), you just can't go wrong picking one up. Extra mags and accessories are readly available and half the price of Hk mags and cheaper than Sig too.

As i have 2 other Glocks now, in the end, i wanted to have something different. Not being able to get one right away when i was looking, made it that much easier to look at another type.

I'm sure i'll add the Glock 21 Gen 4 to the family by Christmas.......:D

I'm sure you will;) CanAm has them for $769 w/free shipping, lowest price I've seen them for sale.

Wolverine and Arma Coat had a shipment of German 220's a few months ago. I believe the OP bought one on the EE. Glad I got mine when I did, I love it! American made 220's are readily available at any Sig dealer.

No Sir. I bought the Sig P220 from Al Flaherty's. They still have one left in stock i believe.

Arma Coat had the lowest price on this pistol and sold out fast.

Now buy the Norinco 45acp, best deal on factory ammo. Then collect the brass if you reload... Here's the 220 with the Norinco ammo:

I agree. The night sights are much better. I am happy with mine and won't upgrade though. Not into competition, just having fun at the range. The single stack grip feels fantastic in the hand. No wonder this has been famous for reliability and ergonomics for many years... it's a classic.

"best" depends on what each owner wants in a gun. For me, my best non 1911 in 45 is my one month old Springfield XDs because it is best for concealed carry. Mind you, it will be sort of useless if I ever relocate back to Canada - it is not a range shooter - although it is surprisingly nice to shoot for such a small 45. My SR1911 still does my matches.

I have big hands, so everything fits... but my Sig 220's ergonomics are excellent. Love my HK USP in 40 as well. Never tried the USP 45, will some day.

I will eventually get a 1911 someday, but I hope the HK45 becomes readily available so the 1911 guys find the polymer pistol that was specifically made for them.

For anyone searching to purchase a German Sig 220, go to Arma Coat's section...
