Hey guys...as a bolt-gun lover, I struggle with my interest in this mostly-plastic semi...but I'm drawn to it. I'm mostly interested in knowing about accuracy, preferred ammo, whether or not any of the screws you may need to disassemble (if req.?) grab plastic...? Concerned about wear, I like to clean my rimfires. :) I'd like to see the mag it comes with, know whether or not the high-cap. mags for it are available, etc. I know there has been the pistol version of this gun in Canada for a while, not sure if there is a conflict if they share the same mag.

Make me a believer....should I budget for one in my 2014 toy fund?
 
I did...every word, but no juicy photos!! :) No accuracy discussion either, photos of targets, ammo-testing results, etc. I realize they're just showing-up on doorsteps...I was just being optimistic. :rolleyes:
 
The gun is expensive but great!!! I've shot just over 500 rounds with NO issues/ftf,fte.
This is with dynapoint and AE 40g round nose.
I'd say 2 or 3 times better than the Mossberg Tac.
I've done the trigger job and it helps. Hate the plastic trigger!!!! Called redlion and they have paperwork in to the gov for an export licence.
 
I took the su22 I bought from Wanstalls to the range yesterday and was more than impressed. Took it right out of the box, no cleaning. I hade one FTF and that was in the first 6 rounds, after that it ran perfectly. I shot around 300 rounds, many rapid fire. It ran Blazer and Winchester HP perfectly. I also purchased some extra mags from Questar, both ran flawless along with the stock 10 rounder it came with. Weight and balance were excellent shooting freehand.

Results from bench rest with no bag were 1" groups at 30 yards. I was running a Mueller SpeedShot 1-4x. I found the stock rear sight was fairly useless as the aperture is too large to be accurate. I'd expect better with proper support bracket or bag.

My only gripe is the feel of the trigger. The pull is ok but not great. I will look into a trigger job. The plastic trigger is the downer as there is a small line running down the middle of it (like many plastic parts) and it is annoying. I would definetly look to upgrade to a metal trigger in the future.

I believe I bought the very last one at Wanstalls.

The trigger wasnt great out of the box. lots of takeup and a 7.5lb break.

After much deliberation and reading through KTOG posts, I took it apart and cleaned up the trigger a little. I was conservative because at least one owner has butchered their gun doing this.

With minimal effort, I got the pull crisp and clean just under 6lbs. THere is still a fair ammount of takeup and putting the thing back together was a painful job. That hammer spring is a B*STARD!

But it is nicer than the trigger on my Browning BL22 now.

I am currently perplexed by the prospect of putting a sling on this gun. I am not happy with the appearance of every method I have come across so for. Nothing seems to have a finished look.

I will get it to the range finally this weekend. Accuracy reports look promising though. The gun sure feels nice in hand. Its amazinglly light.

No, the follower goes right to the bottom on the 25 rounders. I know Questar is planning to order the Gen III 32 rounders once they deplete their current stock. On the 10 rounder the follower is blocked by a plastic pin built into the mag.
