Any of you bought a rifle with full intentions to hunt with, but just never did? What, and how long have you had it...

I have a few..
A rem 7600 in 260 that I picked up a few yrs back, and have yet to use it..Not even on targets, always mean to but just don't get around to it..

I have had a Ruger 44 semi international for over 10yrs that I never did use..

Two Marlin MR-7s. One in 25-06, and another in 280..Used the 25-06 a couple times when I first got it, but not since..Have not fired a shot out of the 280, as it is NIB..Had them both for a number of years...

If I scraped all the dust off rifles that I don't use, I could plant a garden. If I just used the dust from guns I've bought and haven't fired I could only do a flower garden.;)

I've got many rifles or shotguns that are still unfired, usually one that i like, i will order another one to keep for my collection... JP.

That is a rather uncommon rifle.

I have a Savage 99, .300, ca 1952 that I bought because it was in such outstanding condition. Classic deer rifle. If you put hang tags on it, it could almost pass as new. Might take it out this season.

Nothing I own collects dust; as I am always 'playing' with it in some form or other, be it cleaning, inspecting, or just pulling them out of the case for a bit of sunlight...

If that rem 260 is not a typo I would not use it either unless already well used. It was probally one of a special run of 250 in 1998 and maybe 4 came to canada they say. rare gun and worth quite a bit more than your typical 7600 :)

I've got a few I don't hunt with, just enjoy at the range.
The one in the EE no one wants is a real sleeper.
Shoots a clover leaf and enjoys doing it.
Oh well...........

I keep a few new rifles on hand for the times that i feel like playing with a new gun, but don't feel like drivin to town to pick 1 up.

I have a full safe of rifles I left with my father that I haven't even opened in a year

Only one so far, a Ruger tang safety M77 in .338 Win Mag. Bought it two seasons ago for an elk hunt that never happened and I haven't had an opportunity to get out for elk since. I plan to take it out this fall for a day or two of deer hunting, just so it doesn't feel so lonely in the cabinet.
