Finally got bored enough to go do sum shoot'in up at Looky's range.
And I made the pile and check'd it twice.
Seems lately eye've been forgitt'in shooting stuff.
So up the range I go.
Get meself all set up and ............oh wait, fergot something.

Yup, intro.
I bought a Marlin 336 in the gerlie terdie-turdy off a fellow Nutzs.
And put on a baby scope that was given to me.
And did the bore sight thingy with a proper Bushnell bore sight.
None of this stare down the bawrrell nonsense............:p
We were close to terdy five yards as cuss'in is to dam'in.

So, up we go.....

And a lookyloo down yonder.......
Don't mind the mess, this is where the little tards
come up and party.......remember the photo of those
pallets?........

And for the first target....... number one is the primo shot.... and number two
is the next after sum finnaggl'n and then three and four.

And just so we don't get things all cluttered with holes, here are the next
four shots after number four on the first target..
This being the second target....
Tough to find a Marlin that don't perform.........aye Mr. Gary........ :p
And a Baby Bushy on it too..

And the twoonie to hide them blasted holes............:p

And then the CZ 452 started yelp'in.
Jeesh, I love this plinkster like Smakker's loves his dawg........:D
Maybe I'm gonna call her "Smakker's"............ :p

Looky here, dang thing grew a pecker....
Oh wait, thanks Del.....;)

And some different ammo...
Groups kind of spread a bit.

All in all, a great couple of hours plink'in and enjoying the sun.

And to the Nutters that sold me the Marlin.........you know who you are.....:runaway:

THANKS..........

Ummm, I don't want to start a pissing match here, but, a twoonie size group with a scope at 35 yards is not really that good. There, I said it.

Now move that target out to 100y and report back.

'Looky you cheap bastige - you bought those girlie rounds 'cause they went on sale and it took you this long to find a good enough bargain on a rifle. Admit it.

Eye knew it.
I should of put up more targets and put the two
clovers together.
Next time I will only shoot one round per target and go a towsand yards..... :D
That'll fix ya..... :p

Or at least 80 yds. to get a good idea of what the bugger can do.
I've owned Marlins in 30-30, .35 Rem, .444,.357 mag,.44 mag & 45-70 and most all were built between 1970 & 1987.
Not a poor one in the bunch, and every one of them would print toonie sized groups at 80 yds. with the right ammo.

(My range has an 80yd. target fence and a 130yd. one due to a gully being where the 100 yarder should be.)

Sounds like a good day at the range...I'm up the hill a bit from you and getting the same weather...just gorgeous.
Now, here's what you do 'Looky. Take that target and add a zero to the 35yds.
You still won't impress anyone much with that group at 350yds, but hey what do you expect it's CGN...homepage of every canadian sniper and their SKS! ;)

Yu'all is tugg'in me weenie.......
That's four dead chick'uns for shure...... :D
Just proof'in the gal that's all.
There is a yung'un who wishes her for a behind the seat
sort of clobberer.
Hate sending things out that don't hit paper.
Tug all ye want...........
Wait, did I miss a zero?...... :p

I don't think you're starting a pissing match. Thirty-five yards is bowhunting range. Move it out to 100 yards, Marlins are good guns, you won't be disappointed.

Jeesh, I love this plinkster

I c your's is a little off, my CZ can put them in that smallest ring in the centre :p Yeah, I know what ya mean, I love my CZ, too!

Eye never did brag my shooting skills.
Looking out -40 out of my shooting eye
makes for fine hunting shots though.
Just working with what Mother Nature offered me.
I have tried shooting lefty, but the groups don't
get much better.
Plus there was a pretty good wind and the sun
waves and all......
Aww fack, I had fun....... :D
Noogies to you....... :p

Kam, I'm not a 303- oh! fan,... but I did own a Marlin, my Wife's actually, the 336TS and it was as accurate at 100yds as any of my bolt guns out of the box, with Imperial(remember those buggers;))170KKSP.

Those early micro-goove barrels would shoot the fawking pants of any '94 made, and I owned those too.

Have fun with your thutty thutty, and remember the way of the '94,...... don't panic because it didn't drop in it's tracks,.... find the hit area/ bloodtrail,....... sit down and smoke a cigarette or two or three, drink a couple cups of tea, clip your finger nails......... and then proceed to recover your venison just beyond yonder treeline.;)

Micro-Groove tubes worked fine with jacketed bullets, but were crap with
lead pills driven beyond 1400 or so. :)
