So... How does YOUR SKS shoot??

Hmm. Can they really be that bad? I was considering considering one for a first rifle...now I have doubts.

I love my SKS's ...I certainly won't speak for anyone else but I have never been disappointed owning them, never had a jam ever, and I can hit the target at 100 yds every time with all 3 of my SKS Rifles and Ammo is still reasonably priced.....I think they are a very reliable and accurate Rifle out to 100-200 yds ....no they are not a tack driver but they were never intended to be, many People even Deer hunt with them using SP ammo with success.

Personally my front sight seems wider than the pop can at 100yds...must be diet pop, eh?

It usually is. Just aim below it to get your bearings then bring your sights up a bit. After a while you can get used to it and hit the cans reliably.

In fact, at 100 yards often you can get away with hitting the pop can lower (but with the same desired effect) if you aim so the tip of your front sight post is just at the bottom of the can. I can do this with all of my SKS rifles and they're all zeroed in.

4" groups at 100 yards with a 150 dollar rifle and cheap surplus. Don't buy one,buy two they're lots of fun for the price and you could use it for deer out to 150 yards with soft points no problem

Exactly. If you want a ghillie suit mall ninja sniper job on a craft dinner budget, but a savage axis in .223. Buy an sks because shooting is fun, and if the zombies come, it will do just fine.

I've never shot mine at a target to see how it groups, but I can blow up a gopher about half the time at 60-100 yards. So likely right in that 4 moa range that sends to be the norm.

My Rasheed gets under 2" at a 100 with 124g HP. All of the SKS's I have had were in the 4-5 inch range. The best 5 shot group I have got with the Rasheed was just over an inch. That was when I first got it.
