What are you all using and how do u like them? Going on my rem 700 and am looking for a drop in trigger. Here lots about Jewell and timney. Where did u pick it's up?

Cheers

What weight do you want?

Factory 700 triggers can be worked a bit and set crisp and as light as 1.5 pounds for a fraction of the cost of a replacement trigger.

I was thinking roughly 1-2 # pull. Dont wanna go much much lighter since I still hunt with it
I really just wanna crisp it up instead of creep creep pow

guntech's advice is excellent ! At a crisp 2# the trigger will feel quite a bit lighter compared to a factory set liability safe trigger.
You can get an aftermarket trigger but if you plan to hunt with the rifle a properly adjusted 700 trigger will be as good.

Take guntechs advice (unless your after a rediculously light trigger) he worked mine Dow to around 1.5# and it's very crisp ! Best $ to product ratio for a better then stock trigger

i have a Timney for a rem 700 that was in a gun for a couple weeks ... i think there junk, if you want it pm me lol. Jewel is the only trigger on the planet for me. If you want a 2 pound trigger i would run a factory REM and get it polished by a good gun smith... Although that will probably cost you 100 bucks. Its unlikley that you'll get a Factory Rem anywhere near a pound. Ill ship my Timney for $140 Emt.

Got my factory trigger well under a pound. What kinda of timney trigger? If it is 501t that seem a little pricey for a crappy trigger? I'd be very interested to find out how low can you go on that crappy trigger. PM me.

So far I have two timney triggers and one on the way. In my opinion and experience they are good for hunting an informal target shooting but the others are right when they say they ain't no jewel, still better than most factory triggers though.

Sales pitch a bit rough. You're right about the Jewell trigger.
