and lastly what are they worth and who sells them in Ontario (if possible)?

thanks every one
Rob.

The ACR is currently restricted in its base configuration, but quite a few people have it reconfigured with a NR barrel through Herron arms. There is supposedly a non-restricted factory ACR that may materialize in the distant future. You are allowed to legally use 10-round LAR-15 pistol magazines in the ACR. They list between $2,700-$2,800 and are available through most CGN dealers (not sure about current availability, though).

The non-restricted conversion adds a substantial amount to the off-the-shelf price. Somewhere approaching $1000 to be sure.

The XCR retails for around $2350 and is non-restricted from the get-go.

Factory non-restricted ACRs will show up one day probably around the $2799 price point, making the two comparable.

thanks alot for the info, is it just the short barrels that make them restricted?

Does anyone know if the robinson arms XCR-M will accept armalite AR-10 5/20 round mags? Does anyone make 5/30 round mags available for that .308 platform?

Hi All,
I was just on the Bushmaster ACR web-page and it had this info on it:

BASIC ACR® FEATURES

16 ½" cold hammer-forged barrel with an innovative protective coating which uses a nitriting process that dramatically reduces wear for the ultimate in longevity and dependability
A2 birdcage-type hider to controlmuzzle flash
Adjustable, two-position, gas piston-driven system for firing suppressed or unsuppressed, supported by hardened internal bearing rails
Tool-less, quick-change barrel system available in 10.5", 14.5", 16.5" and 18.5" and in multiple calibers
Is this information accurate or a mis-print? Can it be wrong information posted on the web-page, an expression of intent or a recent revision? Has anyone seen this before?

I read this also and fired off an email to Bushmaster regarding it. Hopefully it's true that they do sell 18.5" barrels. Would make it a lot cheaper to change the ACR to non restricted

My 1st thought re 18.5" barrel is: is it 18.5" of rifling or 18.5" including a flash hider. Big difference.

I could totally be way out to lunch as well.

OR

That's the long awaited, no-idea-when-it'll-show-up NR ACR that has been discussed for a long time here.

I'll call the store tomorrow and confirm that the two in the back room were NR - I don't really pay much attention to R/NR - for me it's irrelevant.

The clarification would be nice to get yes (as its totally relevant to those who have the opportunity to them NR black rifles out in the bush everyday of the week if we want too!).

I can only assume that unless it was the importer of them (perhaps there are more then one, I really don't know - Blaxsun?) that the news of factory NR ACR having made it in Canada would have been flushed out by now!

I can already see the lenght of the waiting list for them once they are made available.
