Hey I was just curious where everyone goes to get there upgrades for tere M14s. What's your favourite store to buy parts from stocks brakes mags etc.

On a side note anyone know where I can get a mcmillan stock for one?

x2 Besides the odd part, I've gotten most of my stuff on EE. I haven't really found an M14 Superstore lol. Most suppliers seem to have limited parts, so it takes alot of shopping around to find everything you want.

M14.ca has a new muzzle brake and front sight coming out: a meeting is scheduled next week for its initial production run but other projects are being planned for release before Christmas.

Right now, we have in inventory:

The M14.ca Blackfeather RS (with Oprod Guide/Interchangenable Buttstock)
The M14.ca Black Arrow Op Rod Spring Guide
The CASM GEN II Scope Mount in Aluminum
The CASM GEN II Scope Mount in Steel
The CASM "MRD" Micro Red Dot Mount
The CASM "RD" Red Dot Mount

Also, at the bottom of the M14.ca page, you will also find a good "Reference Section" if you are fairly new to the rifle. In August, ths site had 9,000 unique visitors a month and more than 12,000 downloads of this material.

I've gotten my parts from many different sources, so I can't really say one is my favorite - they've all been great places and individuals to deal with.

To give a few names:

I got my Fulton fake selector switch and most of my M-14S tools from Brownell's. I got my Sadlak parts (mag release, op rod spring guide, and QD sling swivel post) from Fabsports, when they could still get Sadlak parts. My extra mags came from Marstar. Cheek rest was from hical. My ARMS#18 came from Wolverine Supplies. USGI wood stock was an EE deal, bayonet lugged flash hider came from Hungry, while my M1A rear sight was from a group buy CGNer Spcamno did last year.

We are in the process of bringing more parts from multiple sources. some items are sadlak, lrb and sei. We are working in bringing in the trw part kits soon.

Armtac is making me broke :(

(but broke with awesome toys :) )
Uber Awsome!
Armtac is truley a class act and with these kit's that he is selling all you will need is $$$
So My Recomendation Is To Be More Like I <3 M14
LRB reciever with intergral scope and a USGI parts kit;

Then hit up Jerry at Mystic Percision for a Kreiger barrel. Then call the Doctor to make it for you.
Then you will reliaze why everyone is jellious of him.

I'm actually retiring from rifle work (M14Doc) in canada and I'm movin south in a month. Been keeping it on the down low but even though I'm not a dealer here , my pm box keeps filling up with work requests.
So for all who read this, My bench is CLOSED.

Very sorry to hear this but good luck on the move ...

I'm putting an M305 together from 'scratch'.

Norinco M305 shorty will be from Arma-Coat (the $650 special he's got going on)
Krieger barrel from either Mystic, Hirsch, North Shore (if they'd respond) or any other Canadian Krieger dealer who's not a sponser here.
Scope mount from M14.ca
Unitized gas system from Brownells (via Hungry <3)
Sadlak spring guide, Wolff spring, metric gas lock and castle nut and shims from Hungry
SEI brake from somewhere, unless M14.ca comes out with thier supprise soon
Archangel stock from the EE

Still looking for a Sadlak grooved piston and a Schuster adjustable gas plug. I guess once Armtac has Sadlak stuff in they'll be my source for the tools as well.

Gunsmithing from the other half of the m14doctor partnership I guess it was know as. Are M1A smiths really that hard to find here in Canada? With all of the Norcs flooding the market you'd think it would be easy to find a gunsmith capable of chambering, indexing, and headspacing a barrel.

Hey m305doctor are you moving south as in south like we discussed that night or back to Vancouver? I'm curious if you plan on renting space wherever you're going

Having M14doc close his bench is a brutal blow, but he has to make decisions that favor his lifestyle (read: freedom?). Yes there are other gunsmiths like Casey at TacOrd who has done this build in the past and Doug at Ellwood Epps (he does all my sniper builds)

In the past I have sourced many M1A parts from Brownells, treelineM14, and right here on the EE Forum!

Cheers,
Barney

I'm heading south of the border to get some serious mentoring time. I have 3 , 6 week programs with 2 weeks off between each program. I'll be back , but for now and the near future.... It is what it is.

Please let us all know if your bench reopens. I have two that need your help.
Enjoy your time down south.
