Well, Looky Here............

Eye never did brag my shooting skills.
Looking out -40 out of my shooting eye
makes for fine hunting shots though.
Just working with what Mother Nature offered me.
I have tried shooting lefty, but the groups don't
get much better.
Plus there was a pretty good wind and the sun
waves and all......
Aww fack, I had fun....... :D
Noogies to you....... :p

All that matters is that you're pleased with the results you had. Sounds like you are, so good on ya. Go nail some chickens. :ar15:

Looks like you had a good time and enjoyed yourself. Good on ya!! That's main objective.

I'll change the subject here, not a hi-jack, but just thought Johnn, Salmon Arm gun show is coming up and the leaves are turning, (whatever that means) and shooting is good at the range and my quad is crying to go on some little trips and--

And and and, ........ git yer arse outta bed.
Beauty sleep is only skin deep....... :D
I'll be there in a few hours and the dare is on........whooooot.........
CZ 452 verses the old Brno.......
This awt to be fun..... :p

I don't know if I'll be able to do any quading at this time, perhaps in the spring?? However, attending the Salmon Arm gun show is something that will get a serious effort. Oct. 20th - 21st this year? The governing factors are the possibility of a Moose hunt with my son in the central interior and an antlered Mule Deer hunt, on draw, in Alberta with my Daughter & Son In Law. Still waiting for confirmation on dates, especially for the Mule Deer in AB.

Marlins are really nice !

Agreed, as/the bottem three pictured. An 1895GS in 45-70, a 444S in 444 Marlin and an old timer, an 1894 in 44-40.

There has been some suggestion of not very spectacular shooting, as posted by Kamlooky.
I can assure you of one thing. If the bullets didn't land exactly where they were supposed to, it was not Kamlooky's fault.
He is a darn good shot. We just had a big shoot out today at the range and believe me, I had to pull up my sox, cross my toes and put everything into it, or he would beat me!

Have fun with your thutty thutty, and remember the way of the '94,...... don't panic because it didn't drop in it's tracks,.... find the hit area/ bloodtrail,....... sit down and smoke a cigarette or two or three, drink a couple cups of tea, clip your finger nails......... and then proceed to recover your venison just beyond yonder treeline.;)

Or.... You could load up some Hornady Leverevolution 160's and drop ye venison dead where it stands. Did this last year at 75 yards. Fantastic round. I sold all the bolts soon after...

Come on, post'em up......
Good lesson today on different ammo on the targets.
H made a big cardboard backed target platform.
The rascal had two rows of targets, his side and my side.
I found the bigger rectangular ones way easier to lock the
X-hairs on.
American Eagle is a great round and seemed to group nicely
in most of our shooters today.
And the dreadful Winchester 555's did a remarkable group as well.
The Blazer's were treating me just great, except I should of quit at
four rounds......
I think that dang H took some of those Wildcats and threw them in
my ammo supply................
Great day with great folks.

H, do tell, what was that skinny long rope tied to the one leg of
the target post and back to your shooting spot all about? :nest:

Kam, I'm not a 303- oh! fan,... but I did own a Marlin, my Wife's actually, the 336TS and it was as accurate at 100yds as any of my bolt guns out of the box, with Imperial(remember those buggers;))170KKSP.

Those early micro-goove barrels would shoot the fawking pants of any '94 made, and I owned those too.

Yep, the 30 min rule applies! Believe it, it makes all the differance in recovery of a dead or loss of a wounded, in most cases.
