What options are there currently out there for a canadian made lower? I know about NEA, Cadex, Motiuk and Dlask. Am i missing anything? Would like a canadian built lower for a build, preferibly 7075. Any recomendations?

That's the jist of it.

NEA always seems to be out of stock.

Cadex seems good quality and easy to get from Oneshot. They are a bit up there in price.

ATRS is damned cool, but you'll need to mortgage your house, and they are proprietary.
They make them to such tight tolerances that they are only guaranteed to fit with the matching ATRS uppers.

Dlask are supposedly good at what they do, but busy. I jsut ordered a Dlask. Said the next batch will be ready to ship by the end of next week.

Motiuk are the new guys, but no one has had anything bad to say about them. The price is right so they seem to be selling like hotcakes and are currently out of stock for the next 4-6 weeks. They also offer customizations for the same price as others base units.

I read somewhere that Blueline is made by Cadex and that all I know about them.
Same with this one other, Socom Supply, I think.

For some reason Dlask appealed to me. There seem to be the right combination of naming aesthetics, reputation, quality, and the whole, supporting a small local business warm fuzzy kind of feeling.

Uh, that would mean they are out of tolerance from the AR15 specs.

That is true.

AR15 Mil. Spec. allows for a certain tolerance for various manufacturers so they can be drop in components.

ARTS specifically made them to tighter specs for a better fit and finish - and as on their website - they are essentially listed as being not compatible with regular AR15 upper/lowers although IIRC you can send them an upper (or lower) and have them fit the opposite to the part you want.

Actually NO it would not, we just prefer to keep the tolerances to what IS the spec rather than plus or minus a bunch like the rest do.

I thought you were supposedly a machinist and knew something about tolerances, am I wrong?

Partially true. Our lowers and uppers may fit some of the commercial versions with no fitting being required, but we do stress that unlike many of the supposed "milspec" AR uppers and lowers they may not fit like some that can be assembled by throwing the upper at the lower from 50 feet away.
If a Frankengun is the request, we ask that the client send us the upper so that we can fit AT NO CHARGE their upper to our lower so as to avoid any problems.

A friend of mine is making this one here, I know very little about AR's but his work on these looks pretty awesome in person, he has been making some other non gun related parts for me for years now. He also makes the uppers and I was fortunate enough on one occasion to shoot one of his complete AR-15's and it was quite a rush!!!

^Details man! Details!

I just received a new stripped Blueline lower.

I have to say, the finish is really nice, and I am impressed.

HAHAHAHA nothing like putting up a picture of a complete lower without a serial number. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

So your buddy is making lowers at home without registering them. Nice.

I can hear the banging on the door now..........

So whats is his name? Is he on CGN?

"A friend of mine is making".....
Doesn't that suggest that the item is in process?
You know for a fact that it is not serialed, or is not going to be serialed?
You know for a fact that it is unregistered, or is not going to be registered?
You know that there is a FRT number for homemade AR-15 type rifles (120316), and that there are folks on this site who have made and registered them?

Looks like a complete lower to me without a serial number.....

So Yes. I know it is not Serialized.......
So Yes. I know it is not registered......
Yes I know people can make their own firearms legally and register their serialized firearms properly.

but , sure.... He 'Is Making' one like that. Good thing that isn't actually the one he made, because it has no serial number:rolleyes:

Please explain how you know that the piece has not had a serial number applied, and has not been registered.
Do you know when those photos were taken?
You are making an assumption without any way of knowing whether or not your assumption is correct

When the picture was taken, it was not registered because it has no serial number.
Of course, this assumes that it is a picture of a lower taken in Canada.

alright....alright. Nevermind. I assumed :slap:
