Used .30 06

I am looking at buying a used .30 06. Anyone suggest what brands/models might give me the most bang for my buck at a reasonable price, say $500 or less?

I was poking around on the TradeEx site the other day and was looking at a Zastava. I haven't heard much about them, why are they so talked about so little? They are priced very nice.

To the OP, should be able to find a Winchester Model 70 or Remington Model 700 in that price range.

You're pretty much stuck with Savage in that price range unless you find a well used push feed M70 or Rem 700 on here at that price, but you better be on the ball or it's gone.

$500 would get you a very good conditon 700 in a synthetic stock at least.

Beaver does not have finger on trigger!! way to go. as for 30-06 PM me if still interested> I have a 700 & 70 both for sale.

I think SFRC might have some more marlin XL-7's on at 299.00, mine shoots really well with everything I feed it , only drawback is the blind mag.

Just checked and they still have 2 in stock

You are falling victim to a well known disease that virtually all of us gets at some point or another---"I-want-it-itis".I've also heard it referred to as gun fever.In my case I have never recovered.

Probably. But they arent quite as common.

Indeed I bought a M77 in .308 for $450 with a scope about 4 years ago.
