Lucked into some presses, what can you tell me?

I lucked into a couple shotgun presses---excellant! as I am just getting into reloading and do not have a ton of spare cash.

One is a MEC 600jr and the other is a Pacifi DL-155.

I think I found some okay PDF manuals online, but I want to know how good, how versatile and how capable these two are.

The swell old fella I bought these off of, of whom I cannot say enough good things said the Mec would do 12 ga 2 3/4 and 3 inch and the other would do 20ga and he thought .410

I have found a 10ga dieset on ebaythat says it will fit on the Med Junior, is that the same thing? Will it be able to do 3.5inch 12 ga?

So based on messing around with my 600jr, it looks like I can set it up for different calibres, is this correct? I'd love to do .410 and eventually 10 gauge.
 
That Pacific Big C in the History section there- I have that press under the Bair brand. It's the only press I have, and I load .303, .308, .38 S&W, and 9mm on it.
It can be done, if you're not in a hurry. :D

I seem to remember reading on mec's website when I got my 600 that it could not convert to 410. But it can do any other gauge.
 
There are three different versions of the 600jr as outlined on the web page and all kits are slightly different so you have to make sure you get the one for your style.
If it was me I would not be converting it . That is a royal pain in the ass and for the sake of what another used 600 jr is worth it is less than a new kit.
Also if you are doing 10ga you will want a sizemaster or steel master since the hulls get really out of shape after firing and the jr does a terrible job of resizing them
The collet style sizer does a way better job. Also if a sizemaster you should add the steel shot kit to get the special bottle and drop tube with the larger inner diameter to prevent the shot from jamming in the tube. ake care

X2. Go buy another in the other gauge you want.
 
So, individual presses, okay. And the pacific, can be set up for .410 though?

Okay, this is good.

I just need to find where on the 600jr it says 2 3/4 or 3inch, so i fully know what i have.
