What are some different ways to attach a sling to the SR-22? I am new to the SR-22 and also the world of AR accessories. I just attached some Magpul flip-up sights to the picatinny rails.
I got a second hand SR-22 that has a rail kit. The rails are not full length, so some of the hand-guard is still exposed. I have the stock butt-stock. So I should really only need a front lanyard.

If the rail kit is not full length then the sling stud should still be there?? Get the Condor single point sling, looks bad ass, refer to page one of this thread, Major Sights post.

Still need a Grip-Pod and a Sling.
My sr-22 build: Dlask 12.5" bull barrel, Dlask reworked levang compensator, Dlask quad rails, ladder rail covers, back up flip up sights, fACOG, fake suppressor, magpul AFG2, one point sling plate. I'd still like to upgrade some of the internal components and get a larger charging handle.

buy a 10/22 or buy a sr-22??
kind of biased to ask that in this thread lol but honestly both are extremely fun to customize and shoot, can't go wrong

I was going to get the standard 10/22 (280$)... buy a nordic stock + heavy barrel..
or should I just get the SR-22 550$ish? save the hassle of finding a nice stock and barrel?
how is the accuracy of the sr-22? how is the trigger? I REALLY WANT ONE.
It's all up to your personal preference. As far as the accuracy goes, I'm not so much into the precision shooting as much as I am into plinking, but I have no problem plinking off pop cans while standing from 80-100 yards. The trigger is very good quality, but it is the same one you will get in any 10/22, and of course you can upgrade it to a timmy trigger, for example, for much better performance. Over all I love all variations of 10/22's and my sr22. Keep in mind that the sr22 fully loaded with heavy barrel and quad rails, etc. is quite heavy.
Keep in mind that the nicest build around here cost around 1000$
Mine is a standard 10-22 with the Nordic kit and a 16.5 Dlask fluted bull barrel.
As much as I like my custom 10-22, I must admit the SR22 is a pretty good deal.
How much money u want to spend into this project/rifle ?

I've been browsing this thread for quite some time and pretty much have an idea on what to put in my rifle when it gets here. I got a couple of questions though.
1.) Does a stock(out of the box) SR-22 take Magpul stocks like the CTR without any mods?
2.) Ive read about a plastic block holding the barrel. Does it work fine or does it need to be replaced(with what)?

Mil-spec stocks fit the SR-22 with no modifications (at least mine did).
The barrel block is there to prevent barrel droop, however there seems to be a mixed opinion on weather or not that the barrel will actually sag.

Thanks for the answers. I just got my toy there's a little bit of mess up though, the one I have is not a retractable type. So more questions.
1.) If I want to put in a MAGPUL stock in the future do I need to replace the buffer tube too? If yes do they come in a set?
2.) I see the barrel block now, looks like its made of plastic. Can I get rid of it or replace it with metal? I need to take out that stud too coz I have a quad rail on the way.

I'm not sure if you'll need to replace the buffer tube, but the Magpul stocks don't usually come as a set with an included tube.
If you're getting a Dlask quad rail the bottom rail has a hole and an extra screw for the barrel support block. You can also put the sling stud back on instead of using the screw if you want.

You do not need to replace the buffer tube, the factory SR22 is a mil spec tube. If you look at the factory fixed stock you will see a small roll pin, that is whats holding your stock fixed. The tube already has all of the adjustment holes in it. Simple remove it and replace with any Magpul stock you like.
