Sako 75 Hunter .338WM that I picked up from a nice fellow on HBC at a price I could not refuse.:)

I blasted and coated all the metal with matte black arma-coat, put a VXII 3-9 CDS on it, and dropped it in the McMillan stock today. Colour is the black with tan speckletone.
Big thanks to Why Not for the front sight hood.

Weight is still a hefty 9lbs scoped, but the new stock dropped 10oz. The key concept will be replaced after the season. Load development consisted of about 10 rounds, and resulted in a load with 210 TTSX @ 2950 going 5 shots under 1". I'm very pleased with this rig, and it will be with me for a long time.:D

On a serious note...dats a heck of a Moose Masher Brad. Looking forward to a dead Swamp Donkey pic in a few weeks. Just got back from White River, saw 2 bulls, 2 cows, all out of bow range.

October 6th rolls around and we can put that stick/string BS in the closet and get chit done :D

EDIT- You old Ontario Fudds just cant ditch the irons, no matter what age we live in eh? :D

This one ain't going anywhere, took me a long time to find it (although I have toyed with re-barreling to .358 Norma)...:D

Someday in the near future I will be hunting abroad with this one, and the irons might come in handy. Otherwise, I agree...

Leaving on the 11th for our moose trip. Good luck.

Nice rifle, but don't try out the 358NM. You might like it more. Bevan King built me one on a 700 in a Brown stock. If not for a young guy (gun nut) at work who lusted for it and the 375CT, I would have kept it for a long long time.

Where the moose hunt?
