There's like 4 on the EE right now ranging from $825-975. All are 7" barreled versions with comp and all in really good condition. None of them have sold yet.

There is one in good condition at Dante Sport for 975. It's probably worth a bit more than this as I've never seen one with a barrel that long. It doesn't look that good on picture, a good cleaning would help. Just remember that we're in a free market so it's only worth as much as someone is willing to pay...

IMO, the S&W 41 is a serious target pistol; any other 22lr are plinkers.

I think more people want the 5.5" model, probably the reason why there are so many 7" ones on the EE, IMO. I actually have a new 5.5" one on order.

Yes it needs a good cleaning. It just came out of a Great Uncles Estate. Has not been shot or cleaned in years. It's actually covered in some heavy oil / grease.

If it cleans up to like new/ exc with the box I would say 850-900,
But 750-800 if you need a fast sale.
These are very good pistols, thou they have to be cleaned.
I have sold averge condition ones for 500.oo
It is a plus that you have the box and stuff that came with it.
A exc condition colt match target has more collector value.

My offer to pay $500 still stands.

They are great shooting guns, but it's not collectible, it's just old.

You might be able to get more for it if you are patient, but I think the guys saying $900 are a tad optimistic...you could buy two brand new Ruger MK III for that price.

I've owned both, gave the 41 away as a gift and kept the Colt. I have an old High Standard Supermatic Citation that will outshoot both of them though. - dan

I started shooting bulls eye with a S&W 41 in 1974. It was a good gun. When I bought a package deal that consisted of a Colt National Match in .38 Spl. and a High Standard Supermatic Citation (Military) I couldn't believe how much better the High Standard shot. Retired the 41 and eventually sold it. Shot the other two for over twenty years!

As for price I think $650 would attract some attention but if you ask $900 -1000 it will just be another btt project.

Maybe I got lucky (snicker) but my 5.5" 41 is the , and I mean THE most accurate pistol I have ever used. I certainly haven't had any qualms about gutting out my .22lr handguns and pretty much am just using this from now on. The only way this thing could be more accurate with with a better shooter.
