How does a Ruger M77 do with Winchester Super X Power Point in 300 WM, 150 or 180 grain? Any experience anyone could share would be appreciated. For hunting purposes at 200-300 yards max.

No 2 rifles are alike...not even the 300WM Ruger 77 that was built right before yours nor the one that was built right after it. Unfortunately, that means you will have to buy the ammo and shoot it in your rifle to find out how it does. I prefer the heavier bullets weights and would chose the 180 grainers.

on sunday i tested out a rem 300 wm with win 180 power points. shot a couple of good three round groups close to an inch and a couple of closer to 1.5 to 1.75. velocity with 26 inch barrel was all over the place. a high of 3000 to a low of 2860. it explained the differences in the grouping. i find 300's tend to shoot 180's better than 150 as a rule.

This is exactly what I was going to say. Each rifle is an individual. You can't just say that all Ruger 77's shoot a certain type of ammo well. You need to figure out what each individual rifle likes.

As others have stated, you will have to try your rifle and see.

The Win PP bullet itself is a pretty darn good bullet for the price, and for reloaders, is available in those bulk plastic bags.

I shot my moose last week with a 180 grain Win PP loaded to 3165 fps out of my 300 win mag and it peformed just fine. Shot broke the near side front leg on entry, went through the heart, and exited through the far side of the boiler. I did not find any shrapnel at all in the wound tract, so that suggests the bullet held together well. Wound tract was generally fairly narrow, bit with lots of penetration. Range was around 100 yards, maybe a bit more.
