New PDW day!

@blaxsun - i don't think you'll see an influx of current style Rails on the EE just yet. I do agree with you that this could be the new trend in Rail design though. It'll be interesting to see who joins in on KAC & Noveske' train of thought on this.

Not yet... but I think the writing is on the wall.

Geissele has released a new rail for the MR223/MR556. Early reviews on it are outstanding. No substantial weight savings, though; the main benefits are improved ergonomics in a snag-free design.

We will getting a few of these rail from Geissele and thinking to complete it with Noveske 14.5" barrel. It should look pretty nice.

Just got back from sighting the irons in, shot pretty sweet. Was expecting the harsh PDW recoil everyone claims shorter AR's have, but it was pretty soft shooting. Sighted in at 25 to get it on paper then at 50. I'm not the best shot so they weren't touching or anything, but I'm pretty happy with the groups I was getting vs my 14.5". I only had about 50 rounds so I didn't get a lot of shooting in, but I can tell I'm going to like it. Just need to slap a MIAD on her, and save up for the T1 Micro.

Was there any noticeable difference in the heat coming from the barrel with the NSR Rail? Been curious as to what they may or may-not amount to.

Accessories tend to be overrated, anyway. I have a new PDW build on the way similar to yours, and I went the "minimalistic" route as well (sling mounts, maybe a hand stop - that's it).
Some how I strongley don't believe in this statement coming from the King of Kool-Aid.

I was shooting without gloves, and I didn't notice any heat, I did however only shoot 50 rounds in 3 round groups in the span of around an hour to an hour and a half, so I wasn't blasting away. I'll be able to tell you next range trip when I actually take a substantial amount of ammo with me.
