find different logos of Chinese made AR15. Wondering which one is better for the quality and performance:

Norinco (logo) CQ-A; CQ-A (no Norinco logo); CQ-A-1(imported by ######x)

Thanks!

The one with the star and cog is the most recent incarnation, and is most likely to be of a bit better quality and reliability. Anodized vs. Painted

You know, I haven't heard a bad review about these at all. Has anyone found someone who's had a problem with these yet? Now here's the 64,000 dollar question. Does anyone think that these will become popular enough that it will drive AR prices down over all? Just wondering...

I've owned several Norinco products....all worked reliably right OOTB. However, my latest Norc CQ with 10.5" barrel had an extraction/ejection issue, where the fired brass was not ejecting from the port, causing the fresh round to jam up underneath it when the bolt was going into battery.
I discovered that the extractor spring was the culprit. I can only presume that the Chinese engineers had came to the conclusion that if the 'milspec' extractor spring required a rubber bolster to make it work, then a stronger spring was the obvious 'upgrade'. Unfortunately for the Glorious People's Engineers, the Imperialist Running Dogs who designed the AR15 knew what they were doing when they designed the extractor spring assembly. They got it right.
Replacing the larger gauge spring with the lighter milspec spring w/rubber buffer cured the FTF. It now runs like a train, never missing a beat.

Ok so this brings up another question. Do aftermarket parts such as Troy or Larue fit on these guns like how they just pop on to north american uppers/lowers? Such as ambi mag releases, trigger parts, ect... I bought a M305 awhile back, and it's a good shooter but, most of the aftermarket parts I bought required some gun smithing for them to even fit properly.

There have been several threads on this subject, but yes (generally) all aftermarket parts install readily on the newer Norc AR's. The Magpul handguards require a bit of creative fiddling and dremelling, but they do fit. All "hard" parts, like lower parts kits, etc. fit really well and improve everything nicely.
As a Public Service Announcement, it does seem as if a lot of Norinco AR parts are being fobbed off on the EE labelled as American rifle parts. Just be careful....I wasn't and got stung.
