Hello
I am getting a Winchester Model 88 .308win bored to a .358win,will my 308 clip work for the 358 cartridges.
Thanks

I kinda think it will, but that is something you should have checked on before getting the bore job. ;) Who is doing the job and what's the cost of it?

Ron Smith is doing the bore job,he said it will work, but I ran across a add on here with a guy selling clips with some for the 308 and 1 for the 358,so that got my curiousity up about it.

it could just be stamped 358 because it came with a 358, but if I were you, I'd buy that one, just in case and besides it doesn't hurt to have a spare, anyway. What's it cost for a bore job? I've had a similar project in mind.

I had Ron rebore a Win 100 barrel from 308 to 358.Price was $300 but that was a few yrs ago so could be more.I don't know if my smith charged a little more for the barrel than real cost though. Then the rechamber and head space job so in total I think it ended up around $550 total for a Win 100 in 358.I love it and carry it every fall for deer.

For what it's worth, I once had a Remington 760 in 35 Rem rechambered to 358Win. Exchanged the original mag and used a 308 mag with no problems at all.

It was a very easy and effective conversion.
