I think they are available in both leftie & rightie, if I recall correctly.
Have a ATI strikeforce 6 position w/foldable stock. I had a problem with the screw under the pistol grip. After a couple of rounds, starting getting loose. Tried screwing it back in and found that thread was stripped. Either going to get new screw with aggressive thread or re-seal and re-thread. No biggie just need time to do it.

The best stock for an SKS is the factory stock, especially if its match# with the rifle.
But that's not what you want to hear...
I saw couples of guys here interested by the Timbersmith ( Tapco ) Monte-Carlo Stock.
I really like mine, it don't improve accuracy but the lenght of pull and balance of the riffle is greatly improved over factory stock.
The only downside is if you want to keep the bayonet... You have to make a groove in the stock. The hole for the cleaning rod is already drilled from factory.

What's the weight of that stock compared to the OEM one?
And after doing some research last year, I'd have to recommend getting the Choate Dragunov over the ATI version that Hical sells .... no offense to the dealer

Who sells the Choate version? I tried looking for it locally, but couldn't find it. It's an option even though I'll probably go with crapco. Dragunov-style stocks just seem a bit more appropriate for a precision rifle.
Honestly, I don,t know... The buttstock is what make this stock heavier. Its not too heavy, its just more balanced.
Contact Jerry at Mystic Precision. He is the forum dealer for Choate stocks. I'm sure he can order you one if he doesn't already have it in stock.
