should have it late this week or early next.

Anyone know where we can get compensators for the lite? I'm liking the maddmac compensators:

anyone know of a canadian supplier for these?

Did the same...received today. Perfect fit and looks as sharp as hell. Will shoot tonight.

Apologies for the pic quality....a photographer I am not!

Not that a .22 offers any appreciable recoil however, after adding the compensator, it is all but non-existent. Very, very easy to remain on target during rapid fire.

I have a holographic red dot on the way for a bit more fun.

That looks very slick. I have a compensator on the way too. Do you take off the washer when putting on the compensator?

I also ordered the sam lam mag disconnector bushing to get rid of the mag safety. Makes re-assembly easier as well as allowing the mag to drop freely upon release.

Take some more pics when you get your red dot! I'm still in debate if I will put any optics on mine. I kinda like the look of the iron sights.

I don't know what it is about .22lr HG's but they keep drawing me back....I shoot "big bore" calibers and get a kick from shooting them. So everytime I decide I don't "need" my pea shooter and sell it I get the urge to buy another rimfire.
I've owned a 22/45 4.5" slab side but found the grip too thin and a MKiii 5.5" bull bbl. These Rugers shoot great and very cost effective to feed and ate up cheap bulk ammo.
This latest Ruger lite is very tempting (I'm also interested in the fixed sights threaded bbl version) but the Sig 1911-22 also caught my eye. Ruger is winning by a bit because it's a proven design were the Sig 1911-22 looks "cool" but I'm not sold on its track record.
Decisions Decisions but it's nice to have options............

The sig is just a gsg in different grips and markings, and the track record on those is really good

Yes, take off the washer, you will have a small gap if you leave it on....some have recommended to blue loc-tite the compensator however, I have not and it has not backed off after 300 or so rounds.

I also have a 22/45 target with open sights, so for a change of pace I decided to add the red dot to the Lite. Will post a pic on arrival.

I'm seriously looking at this for my next gun. (just purchased the s&W M&P 9mm.
Only negative i have heard with the Ruger 22/45 lite is the heat transfer down the grip. Only a few reports. Still likely to pick one up

if you notice on the newer 22/45's they have replacable grip panels so thicker grips are possible and I am sure somewhere someone is making thick grips for it.

This is exactly why my interest in the Ruger 22/45 has been revisited. There are mods to dremel the fixed polymer grips on the non-RP versions but after considering the cost of new grips and time needed I figured it easier just to sell it.

Just watched a few video reviews on the 22/45 Lite, and I have to say it looks great. I have a 22/45 Target and it does get a little heavy.

I wonder how the 22/45 Lite compares to the Tactical Solutions Pac Lite barrel on a 22/45 frame.

Anybody got an opinion? I'm sort of on the fence, there's pros and cons to both options.

Ruger is vastly better. The pac-lite uses a very thin barrel liner, pressed into the aluminum receiver. It has great difficulties with chamber/breech deformation because the bolt is hitting on aluminum and not steel. The Ruger has a much better solution:

The barrel is held in tension between two beefy shoulders, and the bolt impacts solely against solid steel.
