Anyone else heading to 18A?

We hunted 18A for three years, North East of Nakina... always for the last week of September (bowhunting). The first year the weather got us, high wind, rain and snow all week, no bull. The second year our area was loaded with wolves, not moose, no bull. The third year, there was sign everywhere, but zero rut activity... we hunted hard all week without hearing a single grunt or cow bawl, no bull.... and all three years there were many hunters out and about... more even than when we hunted 29 or 38... so we moved to a different WMU.

Good to know. We were planning on heading up early but had to go to a wedding. First time in 18A, so we might realistically just end up getting to know the area. Might set up somewhere north of Esnagami, we'll see when we get there. Hopefully it will be far enough away from Nakina to give us a bit of peace, but close enough to head in for fuel now and again.
