So I just bought a Sig P229

I hope that it fits my hand well. Sadly the BC CFO will try to keep me and this gun apart for as long as they can.

Bought it used off these very forums! $750 shipped with 4 mags and both the stock grip and a hogue one. Not a bad deal if I do say so! :D

The P229 is like a P226 only slight smaller. The P239 is the next size down. I was actually looking at a P239 myself :D

I've fired many Sigs and never been disappointed. Wanted a P226 but bought the Norinco version instead. Really liked it although it felt a little bulky to me. Was actually looking again for a Sig P226 but the P229 came up and was a decent enough deal and in the caliber I was looking for I bought it!

FYI the P229 grip girth is the same as the P226 "if you have small hands, you need a short trigger and E2 grip installed"

While your at it, get a SRT too :D

As for the P229... JTF2, SEK, British Army, USACIDC, US Coast Guard, Homeland Security, DSS, US Air Marshalls, NCIS, Secret Service, USPIS, etc can't all be wrong with a "girl's gun" :p

Lots of girls and girly men in thoughs units too ;) the big boys still use the P226 :p am kidding

If you have normal hands installing the finger groove hogue is a good idea "better grip hold" and SRT of course :)
 
i bought a 229 as my first gun, fits my hand perfectly. If i still competed with with i would attack the gris with some grip tape because they are super slick

There is a .22LR conversion kit on the EE right now for a Sig P229 and I'm seriously trying to figure out which of my bills I can scrimp on to buy it :D

Yes that would be mine.. lol

I regret selling my P229... Tried the P239, the P226 and so forth but I think the P229 was the best for me...
 
You're going to hate this gun ;) ....Honestly though, it shoots awesome and is extremely accurate. Earlier this summer I used it at a 3 gun shoot and shot better than I did with my G22 the time before. The funny thing is that I hadn't shot the P229 in TWO years!!

Im already hating it! I found the conversion kit first! Then comes a nice holster as I don't think it will fit my shoulder holster and of course I need more ammo.....
 
So I just purchased Jackspade's .22LR conversion kit! Sucks that it will arrive long before the transfer on the P229 is actually completed.....

I really like the norinco clone of the p229 with hogue grip, as much as I like my p226. I am sure one day I will trade it for a real p229
