I came across 100rds of this ammunition. Does anyone know if it is corrosive and any details on its origins?

For reliable ammo, corrosive ammo is no big deal, especially in an easy to clean bolt-action rifle. It can be a bit more complicated and problematic in any kind of gas-operated semi.

If you figure driving an 50-year-old Edsel is a good way to spend time, go for it; just take particular care cleaning afterwards.

I personally wouldn't use Warsaw Pact-era Bulgarian ammo for anything more than fishing sinkers.

Last bunch of random corrosive 8mm Mauser I got I just pulled. Reloaded the projectiles into .30-06 cases converted to 8x57mm and they shoot just fine. Kept the powder in a jar for Canada day ;-)

If you can find someone local to sell them to just for the projectiles you may get something for them if you don't want to shoot them.
