Hi there,
Just picked up my CZ SP01 Canadian Edition shadow. I know I need to clean out the packing/shipping chemicals before I shoot it for the first time, but that's about the extent of my knowledge concerning break in. I could really use some input if y'all don't mind!
- 500/1000 rds?
- any ammo? What gr (115,124,147)?

Thx

1) Clean the storage goop off and lube the gun using your preferred oil and/or grease.
2) Shoot it as much as you can stand
3) Clean it when you get home
4) Repeat

Shadows prefer 124 gr.

You may have to go with a different height front sight if you use 147gr.

My Shadow works very well with BDX projectiles.

I'm a newbie. So, I know nothing about ammo. Can u recommend me some ammo?
- for practice?
- IPSC match?
- What Gr works the best?
- brand?

Thx

Clean it
Lube it
Shoot it

Normaly after 500-1000 rounds, the break in is over. There is no need for us civilian to break in our pistols. This is more for LE to see if there are reliability problems with a particular handgun. Who care if you get 1 or 2 jam at the range..... It's Another story in a life an death situation.

-I would stick with USA brands "just my bias"
-buy the cheap stuff "you will not even see a differance at 20m
-You do not need match ammo for a handgun lol
-as for grain weight "any for paper and heavy for steel plates"
