Thinking about buying a TD carbine in 9mm and I'd like to see how other CGN'ers have dressed there's up.
The rifle seems to get great reviews, just not a lot of pics with them sporting aftermarket goodies.
Cheers

Hi Zerex,
I sold that JR carbine that you tried out in Nanaimo last fall and picked up this TD in 9mil.
I have not had time to do much with it , but if I figured out how to post a photo.
You can see what I have done so far.
TD has been slow to take off, but personal I like it better then the JR.

Wow that's beautiful. What is the name of that front grip? Where did you buy it?

Yes I agree , The T/D will not win any beauty contests. Thanks for pointing out the front sight , I did not realize it was on backward.

The barrel shroud came from E&L manufacturing .

I am not a expert , but I do know that I had a lot of issues with my JR.
TO be fair ,I did get one of the early gen2. It had the wrong buffer to start with ,
To EMF's credit they did work with me and sent me a new buffer straight away.
Once the new buffer arrived and was installed , I still had issues , such as FTF, FTE and it was still double tapping.
I phone Tom at EMF and he suggested than I cut down the rubber buffer to 9/16" or something like that.
And assured me that that would fix all my problems! ( he also said the same when he sent me the new heavier buffer)

In the mean time I ordered the TD. In my opinion it is the better of the two rifles.
I kept the TD and sold the JR to a friend. The last time I talked to the friend he told me the charging handle had broken off?? WTF????

The JR was very accurate and there are a lot of JR owners on this form that report their rifles are functioning flawlessly.
But mine did not!

I Don't know, scrap the sights and red dot, install an eotech & scrap the grip pod for a magpul afg... and I think it'd look more appealing(to me).
I wonder if that can be rebarreled to .22tcm and work.

I need mo money!

What a horribly ugly little rifle.

As long as it works though.

I know you like to bang that gong from pics, I recall since from the earlier production before the monolithic rail and multi-mount FF handuard, which is dead cool, and now the only configuration we are importing. In life, its ###y. Side by side with it's competition, it's VERY VERY nice, that's why we chose to go with TD. They are very well machined and finished.

In your hand, and while shooting, it is a side-charging 9mm or 45ACP AR15 with Glock mags. (Soon 40 and 10. Waiting on .40 barrels). And it is non-restricted.

Win.
