I have serious but sweet problem.
Cant decide between Sako A7 or Win M70 in ext.wthr. or even coyote light.
Lots of things helps me not to
decide in favor of any between those three.
Sako has a magazine,it is lighter, has smoother action and longer lenght of pull(1/2")!

Win has a better stock(alu.bed.),better pad, fluted bbl, probably less recoil, just feel better when shouldered!
Sako offers 5 shots under MOA dont know about win.
Gun will be used in all kind of terrain so weight and accuracy is important.
Need advice what and why and from someone who knows or used these guns and of course any advice is more than welcome.
Another sweet and serious problem is decide what caliber to choose between .308 and .270WSM.

I would say you can't go wrong with either! What ranges will you be using it for? Offhand you won't notice any accuracy difference unless you are multiples better than I, lol, that wouldn't take much BTW.

I say buy the one you can't live without and feels right when you shoulder it!

Well that is a tough one, I had to make the same choice a short time back. I went with a M70 Super Grade in 300WM. Not because there was anything wrong with the Sako. I have shot several Sako and they were all very nice to shoot and accurate. But there was just something about that M70, just seemed to fit like a glove. The one I have shoots under 1" no problem. Except with Barnes bullets need to spend more time with them. There are several articels out there that state how good the new american made M70 is. As stated above in the case you cant loose either way, pick the one that feels best.

I've had both a stainless A7 and a Extreme Weather in 270 wsm. I no longer have either.

A7
Has a plastic stock
Not free floated
1" square piece of aluminium that sits in the stock is the recoil lug
Plastic "bottom metal"
Ejection sucks (brass will hit bottom of scope due to the position the plunger is in) so you have to use higher scope rings

EW
Better stock
Free floated
All metal
Mine however had very bad tooling marks 1" in from the crown as well as a chamber issue that would cause spiral indentations on my brass. I probably would have kept it if it didn't have those issues.

How they can charge a grand for basically a barreled action (the rest is garbage on the A7) is beyond me. Buy a T3 and put a B&C stock on it for a grand or get the EW and inspect it closely when you buy it. You could also sell the stock from the EW and go McMillan if you really need to save some extra weight.
