I have a Browning HP with Nazi markings and am interested in finding out history on it and what it may be worth.

Would appreciate any help

If you takes pics and send it to FN and to Browning they will actually provide you with some feedback/info on your pistol free of charge. Most of the factory papers were destroyed or are in priavate collections so information is limited. This is what I did with my Waffen Amt HP.

Prices I have seen run from $500 to $5000 (Major Winters Capture pistol with paperwork - Band of Brothers). Earlier models are worth more and are slightly more desirable.

They generally have more value than a P38 as they are less common.
 
I've heard this said on some other forums: giving a value on your pistol without any photos is like getting a haircut over the phone.

Put up some nice detailed photos, and I'm sure we can help you out.

Without any pics or info, $50.00 and up assuming it is fair to poor condition.
