Looking to spend 3k on an ar, what would you buy....

No offence to the Norc crowd, but I have learned to buy a good one right off the bat.

Example being I started with a Hi-point 40 and now have a Colt Delta Elite, funny how I convinced myself the 40 was a good gun, funny how the Colt showed me it was not.

I rather spend $3000 on a non restricted like tavor or XCR...but that is just me.

I'd buy a good used AR off the EE, then buy another upper in a different (more exotic) caliber.

LMT is always a good choice. They make almost everything in house and also supply parts for some of the more expensive AR brands.

Norc =/= high point, you may want to talk to Hungry about which guns have the most issues during his CQB clinics. I suppose norc m14s suck to right? All I am saying is you don't need a $3000 AR, the biggest difference in ARs is finish and the name brand. If you want a $3000 AR fill your boots, but don't think a less expensive AR is equal to a highpoint.

Buy an ACR and then later if you want to make it NR you can. There's one on the EE right now for $2550.

HK MR223A1 with a 10.4" barrel, mil-spec/non-HK stock and a KAC URX 3.1 rail... I'd be all over that.
