looking for H&K 416 pistol..and rifle lol

I did post in rifle section about the HK 416D...but so far no one could tell me where to find this firearm in Canada....soooo...maybe I will have more luck posting here lol

I got this from RCMP

the legal classification of both H&K 416D rifle and pistol is restricted.

The pistol FRT# 132981-2 is restricted by legal Authority "CC 84(1) "restricted firearm" para. (a)" which defines a restricted firearm as " a handgun that is not a prohibited firearm"

The Rifle FRT" 132980-2 is restricted by legal Authority "RFR, Part 2, para. 2(w)" which prescribes specific firearms restricted " the firearm of the design commonly known as the M-16 rifle, and any variant or modified version of it, including (w) any 22 caliber rimfire variant...".

I hope this is of some help, do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions."

So good news is that this is not prohibited and we can buy it here...just so far I have no luck finding it...

Anyone knows where I can find one ?? Any dealers that would be interested in bringing that in ? Pre-orders maybe ?? lol Sing me up please for rifle and pistol

No idea where to get the rimfire version, haven't seen one on the forums. You might have to import it yourself.

What I don't really understand though is simply, how is the HK416 (MR223) classified as a variant of the M-16 when the upper does not even fit onto a standard AR lower?

It's not prohibited, but you're limited to 10-round factory magazines - so...

You'll need to import it. I've got one (the rifle version...10 round) coming in through an importer (who I won't name due to the thread being locked and I don't want to seem like a shill ). I'm told it should be here mid November...we'll see.

Yes but the MR223 and MR308 which are the semi auto only versions are not

Yes, it should really be referred to as the Umarex HK416 22LR rifle and pistol to avoid confusion.
