The rifle I will be using is a Remington 722 in 244 circa 1955.
The bullet is a 58gr Hornady Zmax
44gr of IMR 4895 moves this little pickle at around 3800 fps. in my rifle. It is fairly accurate in this rifle. I could get more speed but bolt lift starts to become a bit stiff.
I also have a small supply of Hornady 70gr spsx This bullet is now discontinued. If these bullets work as well as the 224 cal spsx then I will try to work up a load for them.
10 power Leupold scope.
Foxpro FX5

I contacted Hornady about the Zmax bullet and they told me they are the exact same bullet as the Vmax just a different coloured tip and attractively cheaper.

Last winter at our farm house in Ontario, i have shot one coyote at 325 metres ( was going to move away, it was now or bye-bye baby) with my MR-1 and my pet load ( 77 gr Lapua Scenar ) and lucky i had a LAR-15 mag, it was very windy so i made a clean miss on the first shot and it started running like hell and i just followed trough ( like geese hunting ), knew if i touch it ,it was dead and got it good at the 9 or 10 rounds, that was really fast shooting, could see the hit moving the snow so that permit me to adjust my front shooting, i may have shoot once for nothing, one round was left in the MR-1 ( one in the chamber 10 in the mag )... JP.

Stevens 2506. 75gr vmax at a decent clip 3500fps with 50grs varget. Barska 6-24x42 scope. Harris bipod. Ghillie suit or winter whites. I have a moving rabbit decoy but so far only hawks attack it. I use a johny stewart mouth call and a small electronic mini predator call. 2506 lays em down

.204 Ruger CZ 527 Varmint Heavy Barrel
32gr Vmax pill powered by 23gr of IMR 4198.
Leupold optics 4x12x50mm
I use a hand held electronic call in all white holed up on a fence post or brush pile. I heard that yotes are going to be worth some good money this year so I guess my extra time will be spent making money. Lots of yotes this way and just today came across at least 5-6 adult wolve tracks and a couple smaller ones with them. I know what I'm doing with my moose carcass this year.

If you are trying to save the pelts, you will likely not be happy with a Partition on yotes. The exit wound will be fist sized. I would recommend using the Hornady VMAX bullet. They are designed to be frangible & you will rarely get an exit wound. Good luck with your coyote hunting!

Yup the Vmax go in but don't come out very pelt friendly yet deadly.

All Model 700's . For a set-up gun, a heavy barrelled VLS in .223 with a 6-18x VXII.
For a walkabout, either a Mountain in .257 Roberts or a CDL in 25-06. Both also wear
VXII's, in 2-7x.

Remington 700 BDL .22-250 with a Leupold M8 7.5x. Load is a Sierra 55 grain HPBT Gameking on top of RL15...can't remember exactly how much without my notes in front of me.

I`ll be using the Tikka 204 loaded with 32gr. SBK`s and several old stand by callers. Hope to be trying out a Keltec su16. A couple of friends have new Hellfire callers to try.

I may try one of these long field with my Nemesis 308, many times i saw coyotes hang there, 580 metres i did mesured with the range finder... JP.
