I have been searching here for a while and have found lots of nice pics of wrapped vz58/858 folding stocks (which is what I want it for), but no comments on where to buy quality paracord from. I have never looked for it before and would like to know sources and what grade(s) to buy and/or avoid.

Thanks,
Mark

There are all kinds of places that sell paracord, providence supplies, one of the sponsors sells it, if not gorilla surplus has quite a few different colour choices

I got 1000' spool from Providence. I'm happy with it. Basically for real military paracord it should have 7 inner braids each composed of 3 threads, one thread should be colored to denote the manufacturer. I can't remember if the spool I got from Providence is "real" military cord, but honestly I'm not going to be parachuting any time soon so it does everything I need it to regardless.

You can find it all over the place online but I usually get mine from local army surplus stores. Just make sure you get the real 7 strand 550lb test stuff. It's useful for lots of things.
