Just put one of these on the father in laws first rifle. A budget build Savage Axis, so not willing to spend a fortune.

Apparently these have become the replacement for the 3200 Elite series, and have a few extra features.

3-9x40 was $229 with a $50 mail in rebate!

Side adjustable parallax
Decent, but not great eye relief
Solid click adjustments
Glass is about the same as my 3200
Very well made

Has it bore sighted, and only took 3 shots to zero. Adjustments were bang on.

For the money after that mail in rebate this thing can't be beat for that kind of money!

I have a redfield 2-7 and while it is a good scope this one is better, assuming it holds up, but I have had great luck with my 3200 3-9 after lots of abuse.

Check em out!

I have seen the Elite 3-9x40 on for $269.94 - $75 mail in rebate (ends up being only $16 more than the Legend). My friend has one and I think it is a fantastic scope for the $.

The old Legend scopes were good, the new ones are made in China. They are not as good as the Japan made 3200 series. They are below the Trophy line now in terms of light transmission. I don't know why Bushnell pulled the switch like that on a good entry level scope like the Legend line....
The 3-9x40 is $199 at Sail...even with the rebate I don't think they are worth $150.

Hitzy the new legend is now higher end than the Trophy.

I have one of the XLT's and the Legend is head and shoulders above the Trophy!
The light transmission for the new Legends is 89%, the Trophy is 91%. Factor in any number of Chinese QC issues and the Trophy is the better line for the price.
As mentioned already though, there are some Elite's that are in the same price range as the Legends...the Legends use to be good scopes made in the Philippines. 2 things I find China can't make for **** are aluminum and glass...both which make up a rifle scope :)

Here we go again!
Mlehtovaara. I as well bought two of these Bushnell HD 3-9x40 AO scopes and love it. After instore no tax sale and 50.00 rebate paid 150.00 all in. Scope is great value for the money regardless where it is made. I own 23 rifles and at least 17 of them are topped off with Leupolds VX III the odd VXII also a few higher end Burris Blackdiamonds. Hard to compare a mid end scope to a 200.00 bushnell. Legend may not compare to Mid or upper upper line Leupolds but they are great value for the $ even though they are made in China. I'm sure Bushnell has quality control to make sure the scopes being made in China are up to Bushnell standards.
Enjoy it. I'm impressed with it's optics and options for a 150.00 .
Have a good day guys!
