Being a 30mm and on 1,25 it is perfect for real fast target aquisition, and those are real clear... JP.

How did you remove the rear sight?

The rear sight on mine is very tightly attached.

Just take a hair drier and heat it up for a couples of minutes, just use the right size torx box with a ratchet, go like a charm... JP.

Where are you buying them for $380?

Le Baron got them on special + a 75.00 rebate mail for all Elite scopes got 3... 6500 1.25X8X32 at 374.00 a piece and 6... 3200 Bones Collectors 3X9X40 DOA 600 at 122.00 a piece, when i see those kind a prices ,i just stock up for the future, you never have enough fine scopes, i will be recieving 9 X 75.00 in 6 to 8 week... JP.

Those are extra low 6 torx screws Millet Tactical ring, they go for 50.00... JP.

The Millett rings look exactly the same as the Burris XTR rings but from my experience (2 sets of Millett and one set of Burris XTR) the Millett rings are softer and easier to strip the threads out of. I would recommend going with Burris if you have the choice. They are more expensive though.

I am also a big fan of the Bushnell elite 6500 series. I have the 2.5-16x44 on my 6.5-284 and it's a great scope for the money.

Mine arrived today and I see what you mean by "too much" eye relief causing mounting conflicts. I think it will be perfect on my M14. The mail-in rebate was a nice surprise, too!

I fliped my scope rail around and set it to the back holes on my MR1 improves the eye relief by about an inch. You will only be able to use one screw in the front but I have had no problems with it just make shure you tighten them well.
