Savage Model 10-FCM Scout

Retail is said to be $839 according to Savage's website.

Anyone see any of these in Canada?

I got one in the Russain chambering. Stout, accurate and reliable. I have it scoped in the conventional manner with a fixed 4X. I am in the process of trying to harvest a deer with it. ( if the weather would co-operate) I bought mine in a shop in Thunder Bay Ontario so they are here......

regards, Darryl

Good to know. I want to get a bolt rifle in 7.62x39, but want to see pics and get some reviews of other brands available. Someone said that there may be a CZ.

gmk?

I can't plug the shop as they are not contributing dealers. (good place though) You are on the right track.

I don't believe it is against the rules to merely say the name of the place, provided you don't give any contact info such as a web address, phone number or an email.

Wolverine Supply had a bunch of Lee Enfields converted to 7.62x39 (not x51) at the Brandon Gun show a couple years ago, but don't remember any from last years show.
Cz does make a 7.62 x39 that I've only ever seen one of. Not too common.
Marstar had a bolt action Norinco that they couldn't keep in stock (couple of years back) don't know about the current state of affairs.
I didn't know that Savage made one. Great. Another gun to add to my bucket list...

The savage scout is bored at .308" having said that it shoots .308 dia bullets as accurately as .310 dia bullets. My pet load right now is .308 dia Hornady 130 grain soft points. I have not shot any surplus out of it and I don't see a need to. NOTE: Due to making the detachable mag work with the shorter 7.62X39 round the mag only holds 3 rounds and one in the chamber. Soft point 123 grain Igman shot very well also. Overall a very nice bolt action carbine in an interesting round.

Hey, Anola! Right on! Did you help with the clean up at the 302 south gravel pit clean up op? What's the scoup out there? Who's look'en so hard to shut it down? Why? City slicker's moved in? Say "hey" to Nelson for me, aye! You live in Anola, you know Nelson, for sure! :p

Um. Two dogs I haven't been to the pits on 302 in years. (200 yd range off my deck) I had no idea the pits were being used to dump trash, and if I had knew aabout the cleanup sooner I would have shown up to help and maybe even brought my tractor to help.
Sorry. I don't know Nelson, but his name is familiar if he is in the jeep club I try and attend (haven't been to a meeting in a year or more: work)
