Check out FS Reloading. Way cheaper.
It's all Lee stuff but it gets you started. You can always upgrade from there. I know people will argue that it's cheap, but it's good enough for me considering costs. I'll upgrade parts eventually I feel could be improved.

That's what i use, Lee. Except for the dies they are forrester or redding. Last time i was in DNR it was $2600 for the .338 Lapua. When I got mine at Cabellas it was 1900 and because it was the display, bolt had been racked a few times, i got 10% off so got it for $1700, good deal i says!
Stick with a Lee press. It's cheap and I find my ammo is awfuly darn consistant for a 100$ kit so why upgrade? Just get extra brech lock bushings so you have one on all your dies. I ordered from FS Reloading, shiped to Rydens for those who know were that is, drove accross and picked it up. Told the US border people what i was picking up, they were cool, just asked if I knew the rules, said yes, they gave me a phamphlet and sent me on my way. Coming back, just pay your taxes.
As far as the dies though, I would definatly get a bushing die and neck size only. Help that brass last as long as possible to get your money's worth out of it. Anneal when you need to, body size when they no longer chamber easily. Baby that lapua brass and it will go a long way.

Pritchards has some .338 dies there and bullets in stock as well as H1000. So components are available. I counted how many bullets i had left last night, I have 13 Sierra 300gn HPBT's left. So now I need a box of 500 if I can find one. Wholesale, and Cabelas are out of stock in Winnipeg, no surprise there. I could get someone to pick them up for me, I would hate to have them shiped bit heavy.
Yea, my buddy said to buy Redding dies as well. To get me started I ordered the LEE Deluxe which comes with both a collet sizer and full length. I maybe buy some dies locally and sell these though. We'll see.
Picked up a digital scale. It's cheaper, but the more expensive ones don't show more accuracy so I will see how this is for repeatability and see how I feel. I have other uses for it if I buy yet another, better scale. I have to weigh my nitrogen tank every time I go sledding and that needs a gram scale. I used to do it at work on the letter weigh scale.... =)
I'll be using Lapua brass for sure. I have yet to question my buddy about powder, primers, and bullets though.
Before I buy that stuff I need to find a rifle though. Going .308 to save costs but I foresee a .338 in my future..
GMK Armories had Berger 300gr bullets in stock.

Ill check GMK out when I go back to Tbay this week. Really need more bullets. I may have to break down and order the sierras online.
Can all you 110 BA owners chime in on how you like/dislike the ergos of the rifle... I have a B&C stock and was wondering how it feels...

It’s pretty adjustable. It’s really easy to get comfortable behind the gun. It is a really nice stock for lying prone. I tried shooting it off a bench last weekend for a fun little competition at 300 meters. It was highly uncomfortable to shoot off a bench. Maybe you can set it up better for bench shooting, but its not made for bench shooting.

No problem Cosmic. I find the stock is best suited for prone shooting. When we were out it was hard to stay on target through the recoil pulse because of shooting off the table. I didn't try prone when we were out that time but I have tried prone from on top of a granite rock there. The rifle works great like that but I couldent load the bipod because the feet would keep slipping on the rock surface. I guess I need to get that battle pack now with the claw feet. Next time we go out there we can back up onto a rock. Measuring on google earth that should give us 1065 yards. We are going to try to switch between the plate at 1065 to the one at 700 then to the one at 500 to check our elevation settings. Gotta go and try and get that first round hit. Should be fun. I will update when we do.
