Remington 870 issues?

Pretty confusing post guys:confused:
An older 870 Wingmaster followed me home today. Says 2 3/4" or shorter so I'm pretty certain it's old.
It's been treated poorly. Broken wrist, wood coated in some nasty wood lookalike paint, surface rust on the barrel here & there, action gummed and sticky. I'm just debating on whether or not it's worth the trouble...
I suppose pic's are req'd?

Give it a good cleaning and oiling then rack the action. That should tell you everything you need to know. The old ones are good, no doubt about it. It will be very slick, I'm sure. Whether or not its worth it is up to you. It will more than likely be more expensive than a grizzly, but then it wont be chinese. Its up to you really.

100 $ got me new ex-law enforcement wooden stock & forearm shipped from Numrich.
The gun itself functions fine after an oil bath.
Not bad for '0' dollars:D

We were skeet shooting and a fellow had a brand new 870 12 gauge It must have jammed 10 times .It was some what dissipointing for him . I also was told that this was the gun to get price and quality .mmmmmmmmmmm. I went with Browning .
