Dlask 8" barrel

It would be the ideal , compact 10/22 to strap to your pack for extended canoe/hiking trips . But I wonder how accurate such a short barreled rifle would be ?

Short answer is... "VERY!"

Dlask 8" Barrel;

10 shot group @ 50 meters... 1 1/4" bullseye.

P.S - it is not likely that you will be shooting at 100 yards in a backpacking application... you would be better off sighting in around 30 meters and practicing 0 - 50 meters.

Very sharp looking rifle Hoytcanon..........but just out of curiosity , have you ever tried the rifle at 100 yds.

That gun is my daughters and it has never been past the 50 meter range... but based on the performance at 50 meters... I would expect it to be excellent at 100 also.

Hoytcanon, what chamber is that done in?

The chamber is Dlask's version of the Bentz Match... I think they are calling it the Xtreme chamber now, or something like that. Also... when I said that the bullseye above is 1.25", I meant to the outer ring... NOT the center... that gives you an idea what it can do.

Barrel length has almost nothing to do with accuracy, as long as you find an ammo that is consistent in the barrel it will shoot fine. What are you planning on shooting at 100yds with rimfire while out backpacking?

How about Zombies!!! No?? Yes, I think so, I wonder if Hornady has any rimfire Zombie ammo lol.

The gravel pit where we shoot is approximately 100 yds. across....just trying to build a light compact multi purpose rifle .

I have a 10.5 inch barrel and with the right optic I can get quarter inch groups at 100 if I take my time if I don't about 1 inch just throwing lead down range....

What does it say on the barrel? X-TREME or SPORTER?

Hello again Doc! The barrel was swapped for the 12.5" due to muzzle blast burning on the stock forend, so I couldn't say... as you know we mostly request the sporter chamber for CCI ammo... but we do have two of the Xtreme chamber barrels... well... the bentz match chamber before Dlask started calling it the Xtreme... I assume that it is the same, just renamed. By the way, we got the tactical builds up and running flawlessly with our preferred CCI Mini-Mag HP's... half inch 25 shot groups at 50 meters with zero FTE or FTF's... I should do a follow-up range report on the RFC and CGN threads... I will get to that soon. Take care.

Hoytcanon , Haha49 , what optics are you using on your rifles ?

For my rimfires I am using Mueller APV's or Eraticator's, Burris Timberline (4.5-14X), Hawke Varmint SF (4-16X and 6-24X) and BSA Contenders (4-16X and 6-24X). For a light backpacker look at the Burris Timberline, the 4.5-14X32mm is an awesome compact, light weight, clear and relatively powerful optic.

To be fair... I just remeasured the bullseye on this target... it measures 1.5" outside to outside on the large ring... the tiny white center ring is 3/16" the next larger black ring is 5/8", both outside-outside... so looking at the pic, you can see the outside to outside measurement of that group is 5/8", subtracting the single diameter for a CTC the group would come in around 0.4"... that was shot off the bench with a bipod and rear bag... by my 12 year old daughter... we have done better with our other Dlask barrels... our 12.5" builds will shoot consistent 1/4"-3/8" groups @ 50 meters with CCI SV's... benched on bags (with Mueller Eraticator scopes).
