I just quickly looked for any threads on Mitchell's Mausers and didn't see any here. Is that because they don't warrent any intelligent conversation?
Does anyone have one to post feedback on weather they are worth buying and more importantly worth importing?

According to anyone they are the worst crooks in the business. Unless of course you just bought a shiny SS k98k for $500 and youre in denial.

Look over at gunboards, dozens of threads about Mitchells.

Mitchells Mausers sucks B's

So what's the deal then? Are they outright fakes or are they actual German K98s that have had every ounce of value squeezed out of them in a re-furb process. Seems unlikely that they can get away with a fake stamping program. I've looked at them for a few years with great skepticism but if they're fakes... how can they do it so publically?

If I offered you Louis Riel's very own Luger commemorative pistol in .45ACP, would you buy it?

I have three for sale, each one with a different style polycarbonate grip. ;=)

They've been known to do a few things. One of which being taking original German rifles and refurbishing them to as new condition and then selling them as untouched originals 'found in a warehouse in Eastern Europe'. They also been known to take non-German Mausers (Yugo M48's, etc) and bubba them into German 98k looking things and sell them by the same means.

They've also been well known to use a myriad of stamps to make up whatever rifle you want, even some that never existed (CE 41 marked 98 with single-rune and Totenkopf with serial number 8888H anyone? Buy now, soon to be gone.... until we make more!).

I had a friend who, a few years back, told me about this great rifle he was getting from the US. Wouldn't tell me what it was though until he got it. Then showed me a Mitchells "high turret sniper" with Totenkopf and SS runes on it. And a bright, shiney very obviously non-German bolt and buttplate.....

As for how they get away with it? They're not so much anymore. Their reputation is largely beginning to get ahead of them. Unfortunately, as the saying goes, there is 'always one born every minute.' Years ago though, people just didn't know any better.

There's nothing wrong with them if your looking for a "new" Mauser but if you want a colector peice stay away, the only original part is likely the receiver and action and maybe the barrel. The stocks might be original but they seem refinished so like I said 0 colector value.

also it quite funny how they price things a premium grade kar98k for 699$ but then they sell the Russian ammo pouches for 30$ each and German ones for 70 to 100$ each I've seen the Russian ones go for 2 to 15$ and marstar is selling a box of 80 German pouches for 550 that 6.50$ each so yeah

Are these actually a thing or are they just that stupid?

I really don't understand how they're still in business.

I would never buy one their lame mausers just out of principle, who would support a company that is trying to scam everyone with elaborate lies?
