NORINCO 5.56x45 (223 Remington) M193 Ball Cartridges 55 Grain FMJ Copper Jacket, R

I've seen a guy running it through his NEA 10.5" and had a popped primmer in his first 20 rounds.

Don't know in this case if it was the gun or the ammo, I've ran about 20 rounds through my Nork CQ 14.5" with no issue - but that's hardly anything worth drawing a conclusion from.
 
no issues yet with this ammo....this is my first AR15 build.....13 different companies parts so it is quite a mismash of parts....only difference I could find between the Norinco and the Winchester ammo is that the flame from the Norinco ammo is way more pronounced. Cleaning afterwards.....no difference between the two
 
I've put about 800 rounds through my two ARs and the ammo runs well. I've had issues I'm fixing on the rifles but I don't blame the ammo for that.
 
Does it's really a true 5,56x45mm? (higher pressure)

Does it have a cannelure? (the crimping groove around the cylinder of the bullet)

Any steel in the bullet?

Good velocity? Above 3000 FPS?

Any info on this will be appreciated! :)
 
It's military grade ammo. Hotter than 223 for sure.

Excellent ammo. Hotter than .223, but I am not sure if it is at 5.56 pressures. Has a cannelure. FMJ bullets. Clean enough. I have shot thousands of rounds of this stuff when it was cheap years ago. Always went bang. I am still getting reloads out of the brass.
 
I have put 300 thorough my tavor without issues and it is fairly clean.i believe there is some Steel in the bullet as I have pierced a few metal plates.Seems to be hotter than .223. I recommend it!

M193 spec is not suppose to have steel in the bullet. I think the bullet vaporized and made a hole on steel plates due to the time frame of impact (Fast heat and pressure due to velocity on hard target)
