It is a waste of a perfectly good story series to cast Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher. There are some things that can be stretched with movie magic, but in the books Reacher is 6ft+ tall and 250Lbs. Frequently uses his brute strength to get the job done.

The series of books with the Jack Reacher character is written by Lee Child.

If you like the Borne Ultimatum, supremicy etc you will LOVE Lee Child's Jack Reacher books.

yeah.... Reacher as best as I can recall, was never ever described as a pretty boy.... and that's about the only word that describes the el-shorto.

Not the right fit for the role , and I am not a big fan.....but.... He does take his acting seriously enough to truly learn how to use and fire the weapons properly. Far better that they should have cast Canadian born actor Kevin Durand from Thunder Bay. He's 6'6". Jack Reacher is supposed to be 6'5". Tom Cruise is 5'7". You may have seen Durand in Lost, Smokin' Aces, Legion, or In X-Men Origins: Wolverine, or other films. Then there would have been 2 Canadian made products in the film. Actually, make that 3, because Garand was Canadian too!
