Thats about time someone started making these. I remember a while ago NEA said they'll make them, but got to busy with other stuff i guess.
These PDW stocks will sell like ice creme on a hot day, i'm surprised no one milking that cow yet.. :)

NEA did build them, and after a few variants ended up with a design they were very happy with. However they running at maximum just keeping up with their commitments for complete rifles and I believe that is their focus at this time.

But they did need to go through a few iterations before they were happy with it. I don't think it's necessarily easy to make one that runs perfectly.

And there's the problem. My thoughts are that these will require a bunch of tweaking by the user to get them to work perfectly. Most bone stock AR15 PDW type rifles (under 10" barrels), need a LOT of tweaking to get to run properly. I assume the target market for these stocks is PDW owners, so I guess this will be nothing new to them.

I have a hard time believing that they will have a drop in, one size fits all, option.

dont quote me on this, but 1st or 2nd quarter 2013 I think we will see the NEA PDWs (my guess based on production times, and how they are putting these out to select testors)

Wasn't this stock part of the whole "name this stock contest" fiasco?

I don't know if it constituted a "fiasco" but that's the same stock.

I know they did eventually decide that all their products would receive a fairly nondescript alphanumeric designation rather than being named.

For example their suppressors are no longer called "overwatch" etc, but DTS 338 and so on.

I didn't really follow the PDW stock naming thing but it's likely that was happening right around the time they made the decision to go with numbers not names.
