I want a quad rail on my AR for certain accessories, one being hand grip. Will the Magpul carbine length hand guard with rail attachments hold a hand grip secure? Will it stand up to some abuse and man handling?

ive had one (sold the AR) on my AR, and it was great. cant think of one negative thing to say about it... solid and comfortable.

Planning on having the paper targets shoot back?
Magpul stuff is Designed to stand up to battlefeild conditions im sure it'll hold up at a range.

Specifically if I want to install a handgrip like an Aluminum DD hand grip to a MAGPUL rail piece (picatinny rail - POLYMER RAIL SECTIONS) mounted to the bottom of the hand guard and be rough with the grip.....how sturdy will it be?

I need to be able to have an actual (aftermarket) picatinny rail on the bottom of the hand guard.

Yes and yes.

Very sturdy. Just use the MagPul L5 MOE rail on the bottom and you should be good-to-go. You might also want to check out the Magpul MVG vertical grip, as it mounts directly to the Magpul MOE hand guard without requiring a polymer rail.

HAHAHAHA

LOL

Which battlefield did they go to and do their testing?
How did they document that?

Thought So.

You mean like the Tac vest or the Ross rifle? Government's get it wrong many times as well. Magpul stuff is pretty darn good, a good balance of thoughtful design, reliability and price point.

Iraq and Afghanistan but thanks for coming out.

PMags are so widespread in their use by ISAF troops that the US had to issue an order to stop using them because they aren't official military equipment. Had to protect the USGI mag manufacterer.

HAHAHAHA

I'm sure you will be able to break anything if you try hard enough.
I would think it would hold up to any reasonable rough use. But when you switch gears into abuse mode you can expect anything to break. It's a rifle not a crowbar or something to break your fall when you trip over your boot laces.

Buy one and report back with a detailed write up on just how much it takes to break it. They aren't expensive so give it a go.

Considering the amount of Magpul gear that some of the SOF guys I work with have on them when I drop them off downrange, I'm going to say that "Afghanistan" is the answer to that question. I see more PMAGS in a day then I see people.
