Hi all - Can anyone point me in the direction of a source for surplus 7.62x39 on stripper clips? I checked all the likely site sponsors, but nobody appears to say that theirs is on strippers, which I am rather fond of.

Thanks in advance...

Czech surplus, in either 1120 or 1200 round wood crates, is on clips. The repacked 800 round cardboard boxes of Czech surplus is also on clips.

The currently available Romanian, Russian, Chinese and Polish surplus is not on clips.

Got a 1200 round crate from Wolverine a while back, and they're on stripper clips, each clip is in a cardboard carton, then each 300 round block is sealed in heavy plastic.

We were all so used to them coming on clips we would just throw them away. Now the ammo doesnt, so we brought in 10 paks of brand new stripper clips, for anyone who needs them, HERE.

Czech stuff comes on clips. I got it from Epps when I was in the area. The dime or the key trick work, but once you get the hang of it, you can load just as quick by pushing the spring with the case bottom.

Bit off topic, but it seems to be the best thread for it.

Any recommendations for range safe 7.62x39? I just got a SKS and I'd like to try it out at my indoor range if possible since I won't have a chance to get to an outdoor range till the snow melts.

Thanks

Just put an extra layer or 2 on lol
By range safe you mean no steel core/ jackets? Privi partisan might be your best bet since the stuff I have isn't steel jacket and all the cheap stuff and new S&B ammo will be steel jacketed. I just got out of bed to check so you know its true.
So either you get the expensive stuff or suck it up and shoot outside

Good lord! So out of my 1,200 rounds of 7.62x39mm I could save a hundred bucks by not getting them on strippers? I'd gladly take that deal. Something tells me I'll be waiting a while.

Yep, no steel core or bi-metal jackets, able to pass the magnet test.

Lol, it will be an outdoor gun, I just want to hear it go bang a few times and the drive to the indoor range is a lot shorter!

Does your range have an issue with steel core ammo? I shoot at an indoor range and there are plenty of us shootin' milsurp 7.62x39
