For those that haven't seen this yet. S&W is releasing the new M&P Pro Series C.O.R.E. Models. Looks like they will available in 3 flavors M&P40L CORE (178059), M&P40 CORE (178060) and M&P9 CORE (178061).

How long before we see this model in Canada? Might be an inexpensive way to get into Open Division. Add a Storm Lake barrel with a comp and you should be good to go. Side is cut for Trijicon RMR, Leupold Delta Point, C-More STS, and Insight MRDS sights. Might be the answer for ageing eyes.

Check out the thread on the M&P Forum. Seems like the expectation is the 4.25 9MM version will be the one the USPSA guys go for for Open Division. Add a Storm Lake extended barrel, a comp and an optic sight and you are good to go.

Probably not Open. I doubt the CORE gun will cross the border until late next year. Standard Division and Production will be my focus. I am pretty inept at both now and with practice likely wil be even more inept. I am a student of the the great Gun Guru aka "John from BC". TDC tells shooters to get training so I fugure if I listen to my chosen instructor long enough I should make C class with ease. You have been shooting IPSC far longer than I, what does it mean when John says to me "You Suck" is that good?
