does anyone know of a Canadian supplier of shot shell re-loaders? i did find one that was from midway but i don't know if they ship to Canada. I would prefer a Canadian company but if not i can deal with it LOL. what i need is to economize as much as possible on this project.

any suggestions?

thanks

Just surf the sponsors at the top of the page, almost all that carry reloading gear will have shotshell equipment as well.

I have 2 Pacific (Hornady) 366's that I would let go for $325 apiece with a bunch of shot and powder bushings. Do a search on the 366 and you should find lots of good reviews.

Used it definitely the way to go. Most shotgun presses (and any reloading presses in general) are made to last a lifetime (except Lee*). Most people I know bought their shotshell presses used and have nothing bad to say about them.

* Lee shotshell presses are plastic and are really not meant to last a lifetime. I have a Lee Load-All 2 right now and it's starting to get visibly worn. I bought it to see if I wanted to reload shotshells without investing a lot. Once it dies I will be most likely buying a MEC 600jr.

if you edit your profile to have your province, at the very least, it will help your search out. otherwise post where abouts you are.

eg. if you in ontario, bass pro has it all, though at a higher price then most, but in stock.

Midway will not ship to Canada, company policy. There are lots of other US retailers that will.

What do you mean by project? Are you just loading a few rounds as an experiment? If so, get the Lee, it's so much cheaper than anything else it's not worth discussing.

But if "project" means "getting setting up to reload shotshells so that I can make countless thousands of rounds to fill all my shotgunning needs forever", then what the others have said is good advice.

Get a Lee Load-All 2 from Henry, its cheap and you can always buy more expensive press later if you stick with shotshell reloading.

If you are buying a new MEC no one in canada can match Hummanson in Ont for pricing.Personally I would post on the EE for a good used one and save over 50%.
They last forever and are simple to fix if you have to
